You are in the right place, at the right time (did I here you say wrong time?) Don't worry I won't tell Malam Nura. All the same, now that you are here, waste know time, start putting all your thoughts down, right them down! I mean type them now! Did you here that? OK, one good thing about this blog is that you can write anything, just express yourself in words. Tell us how you feel about all the recent happenings in school, especially the recent embargo placed on all elections in the Department.
As you do that, you can click here to check out my new poem titled The Strength in Adjustment. Please leave a comment on the poem, and others you can not but find on my blog.
Once again, I say SANU DA ZUWA!

ReplyDeleteMY LEADER
ReplyDeleteI salute those warriors who fought for their people, those warriors and leaders that fought for freedom, salvation, emancipation, liberation and development of their society, of their land or other settings either formal or informal, fighters who lost their lives before they reach grey age. I salute them.
They are real leaders who were assassinated, jailed, banned from their own mother land and even stoned, because they believe in the philosophy of the herdsman (a herdsman as a leader put his cows and other animals in front and he will be behind watching them feeding).
Dear BUKTOWN. I am sorry to say that we are all slaves in the mind but freed in our body in one way or the other. Take for instance; students’ leadership in the university, I ask, as student that votes for leaders to be our herdsmen, what benefit have we derived from the day we stepped our legs into BUK? Let me remind you of the benefits: Dirty drinking water (in some cases we don’t even have the dirty one), as a result, those discharged from the hospital will tell you more about the water they have been drinking and their experience in the hospital.
Dilapidated hostels, the toilets, oh my God! I am sorry for myself and those living in the hostels, the books in the library are outdated, the internet has been off for the past three months now.
Dear BUKTOWN. These and other problems that we are facing not only but our brothers and sisters in universities and colleges of education. So is our responsibility to take these problems in our in mind order to find the solution.

My life experiance in new enviroment
ReplyDeleteAs a young lady, I always look up to a time I will be in the University. My getting admission to
Read Mass Communication in Bayero University is one of the happiest events in my life.
The Department of Mass Communication, Bayero University has produced some of the greatest journalist of our time, like Kawu Modibbo, Mr. Smith who is also my role model, and many others like………... Therefore I accept the situation as a challenge and opportunity to be part of the industry that informs and educate the world in a way.
The Bayero University environment is a very beautiful place with a lot of trees and some very beautiful buildings in the Old and new campus respectively. The environment can be described as “ideal learning environment”.
The environment is very peaceful and cults free activities and other nuisance. This I learned is due to the very serious security on the campuses, thereby providing no avenue for such activities to take place.
The university like many others around the world is embracing modern Information and Communication Technology, which now is necessary for any society to develop.
From application to registration and so on, can be done on line, even though the portal does not provide the information you need. You have to still visit the departments to get the information you need to fill on line. There is need to provide all the necessary information on line and updated regularly.
Studying in the University is what I find disturbing. You will see that, the number of students makes lecture hall to be congested and no proper ventilation in the hall, no loud speaker system to enable others at the back of the class to hear the lectures very well. Some of the students have to come early to get a seat at the front, and for the less serious ones they find this as an excuse to skip lectures or form another discussion groups while a lecture is going on.
University being a centre of learning, it’s very important for students to know why they are there, and what they need to do to achieve their objective. I realise that most of the students are only coming to school to say “yes I am in school”. This opinion is based on the fact that, the level of seriousness they put in their studies is very low. I believe is not only by passing your examinations that should qualify one to be in the university. There is need for all undergraduates to know why they are in the university, what they intend to achieve, how to achieve it, and set a goal for themselves. This will go a long way in helping the society produce the highly desired graduates who will bring about positive development in the society.
Bayero University is a wonderful place to be, we are proud of her, and I wish one day we will follow in the footsteps of those great alumni of the school and she will be proud of us too.
